Remote Full Stack Engineer (React/React Native & Golang)

Description:

• The Full Stack Engineer will work on both back-end (Golang, Kafka, PostgreSQL, AWS, Terraform) and front-end (React Native, React, Redux) tasks seamlessly.
• The role involves modernizing technology for managing task queues, migrating action permissions to Cerbos, enhancing agent scripts, automating billing processes, improving customer communications, and enhancing front-end test coverage.
• The position requires collaborating with a team of software engineers, UX designers, and product managers to maintain UW’s Insurance products.
• The Insurance team is responsible for creating, maintaining, and supporting insurance products in Utility Warehouse, with a focus on event-driven architecture.
• The company works in small, autonomous teams with real ownership of products, using the best tools for the job and constantly seeking improvement.

Requirements:

• Experience in planning and implementing software and microservices within an event-sourced architecture.
• Proficiency in Golang, Kafka, PostgreSQL, AWS, Terraform, React Native, React, and Redux.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers, UX designers, and product managers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on both back-end and front-end tasks.
• Prior experience in modernizing technology, automating processes, and enhancing test coverage.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and working in small, autonomous teams.
