Description:

The Full Stack Engineer will work remotely with a required overlap in the CET time zone.
This is a full-time contractor position, requiring 40 hours of work per week, with core hours between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM CET.
The role involves developing and scaling a SaaS platform for an interior design startup, focusing on enhancing efficiency and user experience for designers.
Key responsibilities include developing scalable full-stack solutions, building responsive front-end interfaces using React/NextJS, and architecting robust back-end solutions with MedusaJS and Node.js.
The engineer will translate Figma designs into functional components and design efficient database structures using SQL/NoSQL.
The role also includes writing clean, maintainable code, conducting code reviews, optimizing applications for performance and scalability, implementing third-party APIs and payment gateways, and supporting feature deployment and bug resolution.
Collaboration with leadership on technical priorities and providing progress updates and technical insights are essential parts of the job.
The engineer will conduct unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, implement security measures, and monitor performance.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 3 years of full-stack development experience.
Proficiency in front-end technologies such as React/NextJS and back-end technologies including Node.js, TypeScript, and MedusaJS is required.
Strong database experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB is necessary.
Experience with Git, RESTful APIs, and third-party integrations is essential.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud services is also required.
Nice-to-have qualifications include experience in SaaS startups or platforms for creative professionals, strong problem-solving and debugging skills, and familiarity with payment gateway integrations and security protocols.
