The role involves engaging with clients to understand their problems, needs, goals, and technical environments.
Responsibilities include architecting and developing scalable, robust, and high-quality solutions, producing technical documentation, and ensuring best practices in development and testing.
The position requires managing client expectations and project timelines, collaborating with client teams or other engineers, and communicating tradeoffs and risks effectively.
Staying updated with the latest tech trends and Shopify updates is also essential.

Requirements:

Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of core Shopify APIs and an understanding of the Shopify ecosystem components.
Experience with subscriptions workflows and best practices is required.
Proven experience in headless frontend development using technologies like React, Hydrogen, Next.js, or Remix is necessary.
Candidates should have experience in Liquid/Theme development and data mapping and migrations from other commerce platforms to Shopify.
Proven experience with Shopify app store development is essential.
Strong software and system architecture experience, along with backend development experience in Node JS, Python, Go, or Ruby, is required.
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are necessary.
Experience working in consulting or contracting contexts is preferred.
