Remote Full Stack Engineer - Web, Altius

Description:

• Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join the Vehicle Autonomy team in Atlanta, Georgia.
• The role involves designing, building, testing, and deploying real-time, map-based user interfaces for displaying and interacting with sensor data and controlling Altius aircraft in the Lattice UI.
• Responsibilities include defining foundational software architectures, visual designs, and user experience workflows for Altius, collaborating with various stakeholders, and testing software at multiple levels of rigor.
• The ideal candidate will work with web frontend technologies like TypeScript/React, high-performance backend technologies like C++/Rust/Golang, and software product lifecycle technologies like NixOS/CircleCI/Docker.
• Required qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or related field, experience in developing software for user interface applications, proficiency in Web frontend and backend programming languages, and familiarity with client/server networking technologies.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in DoD environments, working in startup settings, 3D geospatial analysis, and aviation-related technologies.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
• Experience developing software for user interface applications, especially high-traffic, data-intensive, or map-based systems.
• Proficiency in Web frontend programming languages like HTML/CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React Framework.
• Proficiency in backend/middleware programming languages such as C++, Rust, or Golang.
• Familiarity with client/server networking technologies like TCP/UDP/Multicast, HTTP (REST), or protobuf/gRPC.
• Ability to empathize with users, translate user needs into software features, and balance user experience with engineering constraints.
• U.S. Person status required for access to export controlled data.
