Description:
DocMe360 is seeking a self-directed and dynamic Full Stack FHIR Engineer to join their innovative team, driving advancements in healthcare interoperability and clinical decision support.
In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable FHIR-based applications to enhance healthcare workflows and data accessibility.
You will work collaboratively across teams to ensure solutions align with industry standards and user needs, contributing to impactful projects such as improving Veteran Affairs (VA) healthcare applications.
This is a contract-to-hire position with significant opportunities for growth in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining FHIR-based applications using Java and React, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
You will implement and enhance APIs and services to facilitate seamless data exchange between healthcare systems.
Utilize experience with the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) framework to create innovative solutions tailored to healthcare applications.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective FHIR-compliant application features.
Take ownership of tasks and projects, demonstrating the ability to work independently and deliver high-quality solutions without constant supervision.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to FHIR integration and application functionality.
Work closely with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to understand user needs and ensure applications meet clinical use cases.
Assist in developing clear and concise documentation for system design, implementation, and user guidance.
Design and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions to support the evolving needs of healthcare systems.
Explore and integrate advanced tools and techniques to enhance application performance and user experience.
Create user-friendly reports and documentation, focusing on stakeholder identified metrics and standards, to drive excellence in cross-training, collaboration, and usage.
Requirements:
Strong experience with Java and React for full-stack development is required.
Proven ability to design, develop, and deploy FHIR-compliant applications is essential.
A solid understanding of RESTful APIs and data exchange standards in healthcare IT is necessary.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage deadlines in a dynamic environment is required.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to tackling challenges are essential.
At least 3-5 years of experience in full-stack development with a focus on FHIR or healthcare-related applications is required.
Familiarity with healthcare workflows, clinical use cases, and interoperability requirements is a strong plus.
Familiarity with VA-specific clinical data standards and the healthcare domain is preferred.
