Octopus by RTG is seeking a Full Stack (Java & React) Developer L3 to join their team in Cairo, Egypt.
The company is focused on enabling a key partner organization to grow their tech teams while emphasizing AI.
The role involves developing and maintaining web applications using Java(17)/Kotlin, React, and TypeScript.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing RESTful APIs, microservices, and independent components with a focus on scalability and performance.
The developer will collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into functional, responsive web interfaces.
Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to best practices and coding standards is essential.
Participation in code reviews to provide constructive feedback and ensure high-quality code delivery is required.
The role includes troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing existing applications to enhance performance and user experience.
The developer will participate in deployment and on-call rotations to maintain smooth production operations.
Close collaboration with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives is expected.
Continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and technologies to ensure the use of modern tools in development is encouraged.

Requirements:

A minimum of 4 years of professional experience coding in Java/Kotlin, React, and TypeScript is required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is necessary.
Strong proficiency in either Java or Kotlin and experience with web frameworks such as FastAPI is essential.
Solid experience with front-end development using React and TypeScript is required.
Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools (Webpack, Babel, etc.) is necessary.
Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, is required.
An understanding of RESTful API design and implementation is essential.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORMs is required.
Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) is necessary.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (any AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) is required.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
The ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
