Description:

  • Shipfusion is seeking a Junior-to-Mid-level full-stack PHP Developer to work as a support engineer on their PHP-based platform.
  • The role involves resolving support requests that require technical interventions for warehouse management, account management, and customer support.
  • The developer will work in a team with rotated work hours between 8am ET and 7pm ET, escalating complex queries to senior team members, and managing internal task and incident management platforms.
  • Responsibilities include diagnosing technical support issues, providing resolutions, communicating progress to users, collaborating with senior developers, assisting in software rollouts, monitoring internal systems, and reporting trends to the senior tech team.
  • The technology stack includes web-based MVC using PHP, mainstream client-side Javascript and HTML5 for front-end UI, transactional normalized RBDMS data, and message bus architecture for asynchronous processing.
  • The role also involves exposure to DevOps coding and testing environment, mentoring, security practices, technology migration, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience with PHP and transactional database knowledge in SQL.
  • Minimum 2 years of practical experience in web-based code software development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for technical support.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills.
  • Openness to learning new technologies and ability to adapt quickly.
  • Optional advantage: Back-end development experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent.
