Remote Full Stack Python Developer

Description:

• Encoda is a leading claims and denials software solution that enhances visibility into claims data for practices, allowing for more efficient and profitable denial management.
• The Python Developer will work across the entire software development life cycle, including requirements definition, prototyping, detailed design, coding, testing, deployment, and support of production systems.
• This role involves building relationships and collaborating with technical staff, management, and operations staff to deliver solutions to complex business problems.
• The ideal candidate should be a high-level contributor with expertise in software development and a solid understanding of the business domain.
• A passion for learning new languages and technology stacks, as well as the ability to work independently and in a peer programming environment, is essential.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least 4 years of professional experience in hands-on development is required.
• Familiarity with product development methodologies such as Lean startup, Agile, and Scrum is necessary.
• Proficiency in fundamental front-end languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery is required.
• Experience with fundamental back-end languages such as Python/Django and SQL is essential.
• Proven experience in building scalable, reliable, and resilient web applications is a must.
• The candidate must implement quality code using design patterns and development best practices.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams (product, sales, customer success) to gather feedback and improve the platform is expected.
• Active participation in code reviews to ensure coding standards are met and quality code is delivered to production is required.
• The candidate should troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with the existing code base.
• Contribution to the design process for new and existing applications/components is necessary.
• Participation in strategy brainstorming, evaluating roadmap choices, and defining scope is expected.
• Effective participation in agile development processes (backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, daily scrum) is required.
• The candidate should engage in a culture that values thoughtful code reviews, testable code, and scalability.
