Remote Full Stack Shopify App Developer

Description:

• As part of our product team, our Developers work closely with the broader development team to design and build high-performing, scalable functionality for our apps.
• These apps are embedded within the Shopify admin and appear in our customers' Shopify stores.
• Our developers use React, Node, and Elixir (prior experience with Elixir is not required) and contribute across the full stack.
• Developers are empowered to take ownership of their projects and follow the Shape Up methodology, allowing teams the freedom and autonomy to craft solutions, define tasks, and adapt as they learn throughout the process.
• Responsibilities include contributing to the full development lifecycle of Shopify apps in React, TypeScript, Elixir, and Node.js, collaborating with the team for design and planning decisions, staying updated with the latest tools and technologies in the Shopify ecosystem, enhancing the development process through feedback and innovation, using data-driven insights to track outcomes, and mentoring fellow developers.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of software development experience is required.
• Proficiency with JavaScript/ES6, React, HTML & CSS, and Git is necessary.
• Bonus skills include experience developing on the Shopify platform or using Liquid, familiarity with design systems like Shopify Polaris with a focus on accessibility, and experience developing for ecommerce platforms like Wordpress or BigCommerce.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and frontend JavaScript libraries such as Next, Vue, or Angular is a plus.
• An interest in functional programming and a willingness to learn Elixir is desirable.
• Candidates should have the ability to overlap 5 hours with 8am-4pm Pacific Time.
