Description:

  • The Outpatient App is a Health Workflow Automation platform designed for Health Systems, Military Health Systems, and families.
  • The platform facilitates scheduling, checklist management, messaging, and virtual health care, significantly benefiting both patients and medical staff.
  • It has proven to save over 10,000 man-hours per year per installation in military settings and positively impacts medical readiness while reducing fatigue and improving patient care.
  • The app is private, secure, HIPAA-compliant, and NIST-assessed in the DoD SPRS.
  • It is accessible on mobile devices (iOS/Android/Web), tablets, and computer web browsers.
  • The system utilizes advanced software technology, including natural language processing (NLP), optical character recognition (OCR), and machine learning (ML).

  • The role involves being part of the early developer team to build the system from the ground up, focusing on user experience and efficient technical architecture.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Node.js and JavaScript; knowledge of Redux is a bonus.
  • Experience in cloud environments is required, with AWS being a plus.
  • A passion for creating robust systems to minimize operational impact is essential.
  • Candidates should have experience with databases such as Postgres and Redis.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • The ability to adequately size projects and provide status updates is required.
  • Understanding of code documentation best practices and style is important.
  • Strong communication skills with both developers and non-technical staff are essential.
  • Candidates must be able to learn and work well independently, as well as within a collaborative team environment.
  • Generalist engineering experience is preferred to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Candidates must be based in the US.
