Remote Full Stack Software Engineer

Description:

• As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Houzz, you will collaborate with Product teams to develop and scale services and features that enhance the Shopping experience on the platform.
• The tech stack includes React, Node, GraphQL, Java, Python, AWS, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, MySQL, Lucene/Solr, Redis, Kafka, Docker, and more.
• Responsibilities include transforming high-level ideas into live products used by millions of users worldwide, building features for various parts of the web application, libraries, widgets, and custom features, and working collaboratively across engineering, product, and design teams.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in backend engineering with a comprehensive understanding of web stack programming, from schema design to integrating services into user-facing interfaces.
• Desire to create an engaging consumer experience.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field.
• Independence, self-direction, and experience in owning complete products and features.
• Experience in developing consumer-facing features for a large user base.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases and Lucene/Solr.
• Comfortable working on fast-paced, data-driven projects.
• Ideally, 6+ years of experience.
