Remote Full Stack Software Engineer

Description:

• Kodex is seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join their team and help build their Law Enforcement Response portal.
• The role involves working closely with the Director of Product to design, develop, and enhance features for the portal.
• The engineer will lead projects to optimize system performance, including database usage, encryption middleware, and front-end responsiveness.
• Participation in an on-call rotation (about one week every two months) is required, where the engineer will address support requests, monitor metrics, and respond to incidents to ensure reliability.
• The engineer will also review code and contribute to improving engineering best practices.
• This position is ideal for full-stack generalists with T-shaped skills who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy taking ownership.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of full-stack web development experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Node, and React, or similar technologies is required, with the ability to hit the ground running during the two-week on-ramp period.
• A solid grasp of web application lifecycles is necessary, along with the ability to dive into database and system optimizations.
• Proven experience working in fast-paced environments is essential.
• Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States, as the company does not sponsor visas.
