Description:
The position is for a Full-Stack Software Engineer II on a long-term contract lasting over 3 years, which is fully funded.
The job is 100% remote and can be performed from anywhere in the US.
The client is a technical solutions provider supporting a government contract that involves modernizing a suite of applications.
The ideal candidate should have mid-level expertise in full-stack development.
Required skills include proficiency in Node.JS, JavaScript, .NET, and/or Python.
GIS experience is also preferred for this role.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience in full-stack application design, development, and lifecycle management.
A total of 6 years of experience is required, including programming web services in .NET, Python, and NodeJS.
Experience in creating, updating, and querying PostgreSQL databases is necessary.
Candidates should have experience developing user experiences using React, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Knowledge of best practices for testing, API communication structures (REST/JSON/ETC), and multi-system interactions is essential.
Experience in migrating on-premises applications to containerized solutions in AWS (EKS) and updating applications to utilize AWS native tools (RDS, MSK, etc.) is required.
Candidates should have experience working with Agile software development teams and using source control management tools (Git, Azure DevOps, BitBucket, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in providing technical solutions, conducting code/design peer reviews, maintaining coding standards, and engaging in agile practices is necessary.
Candidates should demonstrate skills in work estimation, requirement gathering, client interaction, collaboration, technical documentation, and user stories.
