Description:
Blueberry Pediatrics is on a mission to provide affordable and immediate 24/7 access to pediatric care through at-home diagnostic kits and concierge-like access to pediatricians.
The company is rapidly growing and has demonstrated the ability to improve health outcomes for children while reducing medical costs for families and companies.
The role involves building technology that connects parents with pediatricians through two main platforms: a parent-facing experience and a physician platform, both utilizing Django and Hotwire.
Recent projects include developing an eardrum detection model, adding developmental milestone screeners, building an algorithm for at-risk children, improving call reliability with WebRTC, and rewriting the React Native parent app in Hotwire.
Engineers will collaborate closely with product managers and other teams to bring features to life, emphasizing a culture of collaboration and impact.
Requirements:
Candidates should be strong full-stack generalists with experience in MVC frameworks like Django or Ruby on Rails.
A deep understanding of the products and the ability to start with business objectives to develop technical solutions is essential.
Candidates must be data-driven, pragmatic, and able to balance speed and scalability in their work.
The role requires a proactive approach to project ownership, including the implementation of high-quality software, leading projects, and maintaining systems.
A track record of being a "Manager of One" is preferred, indicating the ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000, depending on location and experience, with equity included in the compensation package.
Benefits include a 401k match, annual offsites, four weeks of PTO, and a $300 office stipend.
The company operates fully remotely, allowing employees to work from anywhere in the US, although work visa sponsorship is not available.
