Remote Full Stack Web Engineer

Description:

• The company's mission is to build the future of payments in Africa by reducing the cost of sending money home through technology, facilitating cross-border business, ensuring reliability of trade, and enabling individuals without traditional banking methods to receive payments.
• As a Full Stack Web Engineer at Rafiki, you will be responsible for developing web UI features for customer portals, enhancing back-office tools for internal teams, and contributing to front-end standards and practices.
• The ideal candidate should have expertise in React and Typescript, a strong eye for UI/UX design, a good understanding of backend technologies, experience with UI testing, and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Nice to have skills include strong backend experience, knowledge of gRPC and Protobuf, CI/CD practices, experience in a startup culture, and remote work experience.
• The interview process includes an initial interview with the Talent Team, a coding challenge, an interview with the hiring manager, and a final interview with the CTO.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in React and Typescript for developing web applications and consuming web APIs.
• Strong eye for UX/design to enhance user interfaces effectively.
• Understanding of backend technologies, preferably with experience in Golang.
• Experience with writing and maintaining unit tests for UI components.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies for iterative development.
