Description:
Quorum is a fast-growing software company based in Washington, D.C., providing workflow software and information services for government affairs professionals.

As a Backend Software Engineer within Quorum's Data development team, you will focus on developing and maintaining data scrapers and spiders to ensure efficient and reliable data collection.
You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to design and launch new product features.
In your first week, you will ship new code to production.
By the first month, you will write code across various levels of the stack, from infrastructure to API to UI.
Within six months, you will take ownership of a set of features and make impactful decisions for clients.
After one year, you will help guide the team in making broad technical decisions affecting the stack and products.
Requirements:
You must have 3+ years of work experience in a software company focused on end-user products.
Professional experience in JavaScript and front-end technologies like React is required.
You should have experience writing application code in backend languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.
Familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle is necessary.
You need to be familiar with SQL queries and Object Relational Mapping frameworks like Django.
A strong desire to mentor others through code review is essential.
You should care deeply about code quality and have the drive to solve real-world problems.
An interest in learning new development languages and platforms is expected.
You must be a highly-motivated self-starter eager to contribute from day one.
You should be an engaged learner, willing to tackle challenging problems.
A desire to work in a fun environment and contribute to team dynamics is important.
