Description:

As a Backend Software Engineer within Quorum's Data development team, you will focus on developing and maintaining data scrapers and spiders to ensure efficient and reliable data collection.
You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to design and launch new product features.
In your first week, you will ship new code to production, and by your first month, you will write code across several levels of the stack.
Within six months, you will take ownership of a set of features, and by your first year, you will help guide the team in making broad technical decisions.
Requirements:
You must have 3+ years of work experience at a company that primarily produces software for end users.
Professional experience in JavaScript and front-end technologies like React is required.
You should have experience writing application code in backend languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.
Familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle is necessary.
You need to be familiar with SQL queries and the use of Object Relational Mapping frameworks like Django.
A strong desire to mentor others through code review is essential.
You should have a passion for high-quality code and a willingness to learn new development languages and platforms.
Being a highly-motivated self-starter who contributes from day one is important.
You should be an engaged learner, eager to expand your skills and solve challenging problems.
A desire to work in a fun environment and contribute to team efforts, including recruiting and customer support, is expected.
