Description:
Employment Hero is seeking a Fullstack Software Engineer with a focus on .NET to join their rapidly growing Payroll Engineering team.
The role involves end-to-end fullstack development for new and existing cloud-based applications.
Responsibilities include collaborating with Product Owners on the technology roadmap, designing solutions, developing new features, and maintaining existing applications.
The engineer will debug and perform root cause analysis for application issues, conduct tests and quality checks on their code, and take ownership of code quality and security.
The position requires proactive identification of application pain points and suggesting mitigation strategies.
The engineer will perform peer reviews of code changes and maintain documentation and help articles for new or updated features.
Close collaboration with business stakeholders in an agile environment is essential.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience as a .NET Software Development Engineer, specifically with C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, and SQL Server.
Knowledge of appropriate design patterns for code and the ability to transform existing code to implement them is required.
Experience with SQL Server, including query writing and Data Definition Language, is necessary.
Candidates should have experience in developing software using microservices or SOA architecture for deployment on public clouds, particularly AWS.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working with Product teams is essential.
Quality coding practices, including test-driven development, unit testing, and secure coding awareness, are required.
It is advantageous to have experience in the Payroll or financial services domain, mentoring teammates, leading a squad, functional programming, and familiarity with AWS tooling and environments such as EC2 and Kubernetes.
