DigitalFish is seeking a Research Scientist in Computer Vision to develop cutting-edge computer vision solutions.
The role involves formulating and solving numerical optimization problems, designing advanced machine learning models, and optimizing them for efficient on-device deployment.
The candidate will collaborate with researchers and engineers to prototype new concepts and take ownership of technical challenges to drive innovation in visual computing.
Responsibilities include formulating and solving numerical optimization problems in computer vision and computer graphics, designing, developing, and training complex machine-learning models, and optimizing ML solutions for on-device deployment.
The candidate will also collaborate with other researchers and engineers to develop experiments, prototypes, and concepts, and take ownership of technical issues to resolve them.

Requirements:

A PhD or MS in Computer Science or a related field is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience using Python or C++ is necessary.
The candidate must be experienced with Pytorch, OpenCV, and PIL.
Experience with depth estimation, point cloud processing, and digital geometry processing is required.
Knowledge of basic visual signal processing tasks such as classification, segmentation, tracking, and denoising is essential.
Familiarity with all components in the training of ML models, including data loader, backbone search, choice of regressors/objectives/optimizers, hyperparameter search, model fine-tuning, model quantization/optimization/format conversion is required.
Basic knowledge of the ISP pipeline and knowledge of image/video/depth data processing is desirable.
The candidate should be self-motivated with strong communication skills and able to work both in a team and independently.
Keen attention to detail with strong organizational and leadership skills is necessary.
Excellent communication skills to work with multi-functional teams and external partners are required.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is mandatory.

The annual compensation includes equity based on qualifications.
The annual salary range for this position is $170,000 to $220,000 plus equity, depending on qualifications.
The base pay offered will consider internal parity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
