Description:

DigitalFish is seeking a Software Engineer II for VR Prototyping to join a small and dynamic team focused on R&D efforts.
The role involves rapidly iterating on digital character-focused demos and prototypes, acting as the "integrator" within real-time engines like Unreal.
Responsibilities include evaluating and defining optimal 3D real-time approaches, participating in ideation sessions, assisting in demo functionality development, and ensuring technology integration with high fidelity character models.

Requirements:

A BSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields is required.
Candidates must have professional experience in C++ working on a game or VR/AR experience in a studio environment.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in real-time graphics development is necessary.
Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience with Unreal Engine and Unity3D.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in rapid prototyping is required.
Basic understanding of linear algebra and 3D graphics fundamentals is essential.
Familiarity with Houdini and/or Maya is preferred.
Working familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes is required.
Candidates must be self-motivated with strong communication skills and able to work both independently and in a team.
The ability to manage a project independently from start to finish with minimal direction is necessary.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required.

The position offers an annual salary range of $125,000 to $160,000, plus equity based on qualifications.
