Description:

AHEAD is seeking a GCP Cloud Engineer to design, develop, and deploy solutions utilizing Cloud/DevOps platforms.
The role involves serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for cloud platforms, particularly GCP, and providing guidance on best practices and architectural decisions.
Responsibilities include supporting customers with core technologies for Managed Services, assisting with team building, and communicating complex technical concepts effectively to stakeholders.
The engineer will lead the creation of documentation and maintain high levels of project and situational awareness.
The position requires providing technical leadership to junior staff and ensuring precision and accuracy in all tasks.
The engineer will influence team members and external customers regarding policies, best practices, and procedures, and will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining relevant certifications.

Requirements:

Candidates must be a subject matter expert in GCP and capable of architecting and managing multi-cloud environments.
Experience with FinOps Foundation practices and tools is required.
Knowledge of modern monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog is necessary.
Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, CI/CD tools, and containerization technologies is essential.
Strong knowledge of Cloud Cost Management processes and methodologies is required, with Harness experience being a plus.
Candidates must possess strong leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and technical leadership.
Proficiency in JIRA is required, along with strong communication and presentation skills.
Strong project and situational awareness and attention to detail are essential for this role.
