Remote GCP Data Architect

Description:

• Egen is a fast-growing company with a data-first mindset, focusing on advanced technology platforms like Google Cloud and Salesforce.
• The GCP Data Architect will design, architect, develop, and support GCP data pipelines to extract, load, and transform data.
• The role involves maintaining a holistic view of information assets by creating and maintaining documentation that illustrates how information is stored, processed, and supported.
• The Data Architect will work with the project team to estimate and plan work efforts.
• Daily team standups are part of the responsibilities.
• Collaboration with business analysts and project management is required to review business requirements and produce technical design specifications.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Architect.
• Proficiency with GCP tools such as Google Cloud Storage (GCS), BigQuery, and Cloud Composer/Airflow is required.
• Candidates should be proficient in developing Python ELT data pipelines.
• Proficiency in writing optimized GCP BigQuery SQL data translation queries and scripts is necessary.
• Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write, tune, and interpret SQL queries, are essential.
• Experience in writing and maintaining Unix/Linux scripts is required.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes is necessary.
• Experience with DBT is also required.
