Description:
As a GCP Data Engineer, you will assist companies in realizing the value, efficiency, and productivity of the cloud.
You will work directly with customers and the team to enable innovation through hands-on deployment across technology stacks.
Your responsibilities will include building complex ETL code and SQL queries using various databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, MariaDB, and MySQL.
You will work on Data and Analytics Tools in the Cloud and develop code using programming languages like Python, Scala, and R.
You will utilize technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka to build complex Data Engineering workflows and data pipelines.
Establishing credibility and building impactful relationships with customers to enable them to be cloud advocates is essential.
You will capture and share industry best practices and attend and present valuable information at Industry Events.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
You must have 3+ years of design and implementation experience with distributed applications.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in database architecture and data pipeline development is necessary.
A strong understanding of data modeling, ELT, ETL processes, data lakes, and data warehousing concepts is required.
Proficiency with GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, GCS, Composer, Dataproc, and Cloud Functions is essential.
Knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks, including Hadoop and Spark, is required.
Experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, or Scala is necessary.
You should possess presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT management, and developers.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to hold appropriate conversations are required.
A demonstrated ability to adapt to modern technologies and learn quickly is essential.
Certification in GCP, such as Professional Data Engineer, is preferred.
