Description:
We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in securing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) resources, resolving security alerts, and implementing best practices to ensure our cloud environment is secure, optimized, and compliant.
Key responsibilities include analyzing and resolving security alerts in GCP, setting up Virtual Machines (VMs) with robust security measures, configuring firewalls, managing IAM roles, and implementing web application security protocols.
Conduct regular audits to identify underutilized or misconfigured resources and provide cost optimization and performance improvement recommendations.
Ensure GCP infrastructure adheres to industry standards and compliance regulations by establishing security policies and procedures.
Automate routine tasks such as backups, patch management, and security updates while enforcing least privilege access and implementing CI/CD pipelines with security checks.
Perform regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing, developing strategies to prevent and mitigate cyber threats specific to GCP.
Educate team members on GCP security best practices and create and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and security measures.
Requirements:
Proven experience in Google Cloud Platform security is required.
A strong understanding of GCP services, including IAM, Cloud Security Command Center, and Cloud Armor is necessary.
Hands-on experience setting up and managing VMs, networks, and firewalls is essential.
Expertise in resolving security incidents and implementing proactive measures is expected.
Familiarity with compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001 is important.
Knowledge of scripting and automation tools like Terraform, Python, or Cloud Deployment Manager is required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary.
Preferred qualifications include certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer or equivalent, experience with DevSecOps practices and tools, and a background in resource optimization and cost management in GCP.
Technical requirements include a Windows 11 operating system or MacOS 13+, a minimum of 256GB storage space, 16GB RAM, a dual-core CPU, an HD webcam (720p), a noise-cancelling headset, and a minimum internet speed of 50 Mbps.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from 1,20,000 to 1,60,000 INR per month.
