Description:

The Go Software Engineer, Commercial Systems role at Canonical involves working with a team responsible for various areas, including security, distributed systems, internal business operations, and Salesforce implementation.
Responsibilities include developing and operating services like Ubuntu Pro, Livepatch backend, Candid, JIMM, data warehouse, and Salesforce integration.
The role requires coding in Go or Python, collaborating on technical designs, deploying and operating services, and improving engineering and operations practices.
The position is fully remote in the EMEA region, with occasional international travel.
Additional skills desired include experience with Ubuntu Linux, authentication & authorization systems, Salesforce development, and APEX.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience as a software developer in a high-level language, preferably Go or Python.
Experience building, deploying, and operating distributed systems and APIs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to collaborate remotely, stay motivated, and organized in a fully remote environment.
Willingness to travel internationally 2-4 times per year.
Additional skills in Ubuntu Linux, authentication & authorization systems, Salesforce development, or APEX are a plus.
