Description:

Corelight is seeking a Golang API Senior Engineer to contribute to the development of their next-generation sensor product.
The role focuses on product services such as install/upgrade, manageability, and telemetry, as well as integrating network scanners from other teams for various offerings.
Responsibilities include providing technical expertise in planning, development, and execution of software efforts.
The engineer will design and implement functionality with appropriate testing coverage.
The role involves engaging in code-review and architectural analysis exercises.
The engineer will engineer services in various languages, primarily Golang, within a Kubernetes environment.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of enterprise software design, development, and release experience.
A minimum of 5+ years of development experience with two or more of the following languages: Golang, Python, or C++ is required.
Applicants should have 2+ years of design and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Containers.
Experience with Git for version control is necessary, and familiarity with Gitlab CI is a plus.
Experience with Zeek, Suricata, or Linux-based development is advantageous.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across stakeholders are essential.
Candidates should possess strong organizational skills for themselves and the team while working in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive attitude and a passion for getting things done are important.

Corelight offers a competitive compensation range of $153,000—$188,000 USD, which may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
Depending on the role's nature and seniority, a portion of the compensation may include commission-based or discretionary bonuses.
