TextNow is seeking a motivated Software Developer for the Trust & Safety team, focusing on maintaining high customer satisfaction for client products.
The team utilizes technologies such as Cloud computing, Golang, micro-services via gRPC, high throughput databases, streaming, and queueing.
The role involves managing hundreds of millions of user interactions and terabytes of raw data in real-time.
Responsibilities include maintaining and refactoring backend systems to enhance existing detections in Golang, PHP, and Python.
The developer will conceptualize new systems and strategies to detect, prevent, and stop bad actors on the platform.
Collaboration with Data Science and Site Reliability teams is essential to inform new and existing system architecture and strategy.
The role requires working with Fraud Analyst teams to build systems and automation for improved detection of bad actors.
Participation in a rotating on-call team is required, responsible for site uptime and critical functions.
The developer will also participate in a rotating threat management team to monitor and mitigate real-time threats on the platform.
Triage and debugging of issues affecting customers is a key responsibility.
