• TextNow is seeking a motivated Software Developer for the Trust & Safety team, focusing on maintaining high customer satisfaction for client products.
• The team utilizes technologies such as Cloud computing, Golang, micro-services via gRPC, high throughput databases, streaming, and queueing.
• The role involves managing hundreds of millions of user interactions and terabytes of raw data in real-time.
• Responsibilities include maintaining and refactoring backend systems to enhance existing detections in Golang, PHP, and Python.
• The developer will conceptualize new systems and strategies to detect, prevent, and stop bad actors on the platform.
• Collaboration with Data Science and Site Reliability teams is essential to inform new and existing system architecture and strategy.
• The role requires working with Fraud Analyst teams to build systems and automation for improved detection of bad actors.
• Participation in a rotating on-call team is required, responsible for site uptime and critical functions.
• The developer will also participate in a rotating threat management team to monitor and mitigate real-time threats on the platform.
• Triage and debugging of issues affecting customers is a key responsibility.
