The role involves migrating critical components, including the OCTO API, to Go.
The developer will help shape the architecture of a new Go-based backend and integrate new services such as bookings, availability, and product APIs.
Responsibilities include crafting clean, efficient, and scalable services that support the ticketing experience for famous attractions.
The ideal candidate should think like a systems architect, have experience designing APIs and backend services in Go, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
Requirements:
Responsibilities include developing a new OCTO API implementation from the ground up and designing new API features for internal teams.
The candidate must identify performance bottlenecks and bugs, delivering effective and scalable solutions.
Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a focus on reusability and reliability is essential.
The candidate must contribute to code quality through best practices in testing, organization, and automation.
Must have expert knowledge of Go and PostgreSQL.
Self-management and intermediate English proficiency are required.
A strong understanding of data structures and software design principles is necessary.
Experience in designing, building, and maintaining complex APIs is essential.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities are required, along with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
Nice to have skills include experience with GCP, Playwright, and a Ruby on Rails background.
