Description:

Muon is seeking a Ground Software Engineer to join their Ground and Data Software team.
The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated and versatile software engineer excited about building cloud infrastructure, web services, and applications such as mission control software and data pipelines.
The team is responsible for all software that enables communication with satellites and processing payload data into end-products.
Responsibilities include designing cloud architecture, managing cloud infrastructure, building mission control in the cloud, and integrating spacecraft-to-cloud data.
The role can be performed remotely or at the headquarters in Mountain View, California.

Requirements:

A B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a software engineer in a team environment.
Strong programming experience in Python is necessary, along with knowledge of industry-standard data formats and schemas such as ProtoBuf, YAML, and JSON.
Experience with cloud-native software development in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) using containers is required.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.

The salary range for this role is between $95K and $190K, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.
In addition to salary, equity compensation is provided.
