QuintoAndar is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer Specialist to join their team.
The role involves designing, building, and maintaining a robust, self-service, scalable, and secure data platform and end-to-end data pipelines.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining a high-performance data platform, creating and editing data pipelines, and ensuring data quality.
The Data Engineer will create data modeling and transformation workflows, manage the entire code development lifecycle, and troubleshoot data inconsistencies.
The position requires enabling teams to access and use data effectively through self-service tools and well-modeled datasets.
The Data Engineer will align with stakeholders to understand their needs and propose scalable solutions.
Conducting PoCs and benchmarks to determine the best tools for problems is also part of the role.
The Data Engineer will advocate for data analytics and engineering within the organization and foster a data-driven culture.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7 or more years of experience in Data Engineering roles.
A specialist in Big Data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce) and multiple programming languages (YAML, Python) is required.
Experience with Airflow, Spark, AWS, and Databricks is necessary.
A strong foundation in software engineering principles and experience with data-centric systems is essential.
Candidates should have experience with columnar storage solutions and/or data lakehouse concepts.
Proficiency in Python and strong knowledge in optimizing SQL query performance is required.
Experience in building multidimensional data models (Star and/or Snowflake schema) is necessary.
Understanding of the data lifecycle and concepts such as lineage, governance, and privacy is required.
Knowledge in infrastructure areas such as containers, orchestration, CI/CD strategies, and observability is essential.
Proficiency in English is mandatory, as documentation and tools are often in English.
Excellent communication skills and experience as a tech/project lead or similar are required.
