Description:

The Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) at Grupo QuintoAndar plays a crucial role in supporting and evolving the database services.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions.
Support relational, non-relational, and event-driven stack including AWS RDS MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB Atlas, Redis, and Kafka.
Develop automation tools to optimize deployment, configuration, and maintenance processes.
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address issues.
Participate in capacity planning and scalability assessments for database infrastructure growth.
Design, deploy, and maintain highly available and scalable database systems.
Implement automations for early issue detection to prevent outages and improve tooling for engineering autonomy.

Requirements:

Practical experience with relational database management systems like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Strong understanding of database architecture, administration, and optimization techniques.
Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization.
Experience with database replication, clustering, and high-availability solutions.
Solid grasp of database security principles and best practices.
Familiarity with automation tools and database configuration management (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform).
Advanced scripting skills in Python, Shell for automation and monitoring.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.
Some experience with ElasticSearch and Kafka is a plus.
