Remote [GVP] Senior Data Scientist

Description:

• The Senior Data Scientist will work on the client's internal platform used for analyzing companies for potential future investments.
• The role involves utilizing Python for tasks like exploratory data analysis, model training/testing, and hyperparameter tuning.
• Proficiency with frameworks/libraries such as scikit-learn and pandas is required, along with expertise in NLP libraries like NLTK, SpaCy, and scikit-learn.
• Knowledge of SQL and databases like MySQL and MongoDB is necessary.
• Familiarity with NLP foundations, vectorization methods, pre-trained models like BERT, and fine-tuning of models is essential.
• Strong understanding of machine learning techniques in supervised learning, including ensemble methods for classification and regression.
• The position requires clear verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work autonomously on research projects with an NLP focus.
• Additional skills like experience with cloud platforms, front-end visualization tools, recent LLMs, classical statistical techniques, and finance-related projects using unstructured data are advantageous.
