Description:

Financial Technology Partners (FT Partners) is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to enhance their internal web application, which functions as a comprehensive CRM, project management tool, and suite of operational software.
The role requires solid expertise in Python and SQL, along with deep familiarity with Django and its ORM, particularly in developing APIs using Django Rest Framework.
The engineer will be responsible for building new functionality, models, and APIs, auditing and refactoring older parts of the codebase, and implementing unit and integration tests for stability and continuous delivery.
The position involves collaborating with engineering on database infrastructure, security, and efficiency, as well as continuously auditing and improving security.
The engineer will participate in team task visibility through ticket tracking, daily standups, and sprint planning, and will write code that is easy for other engineers to understand and expand upon.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a web application environment, including APIs, SPAs, CI/CD, Cloud infrastructure, and Git.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience with Django, preferably with Django Rest Framework, is required.
Applicants should have deep comfort querying using an ORM, including advanced annotation and pre-fetching.
Ideal candidates should possess a collaborative and team-oriented mindset, be open to asking questions and sharing ideas, and be committed to stability through test coverage and thorough documentation.
Nice to have qualifications include startup experience, familiarity with task queues, and any DevOps or AWS experience.
