Description:
66degrees is seeking an Information Security Analyst for a 12-month remote assignment with potential for full-time conversion in the insurance domain.
The role involves managing multiple aspects of information security operations, response, and engineering.
Responsibilities include incident response, playbook development and execution, operational engineering, and tooling maintenance.
The analyst will collaborate closely with IT teams to design and support effective Information Security Operations.
Key tasks include evaluating vulnerability analysis, contributing to root-cause analysis for security incidents, and assisting in the configuration of new applications for security operations.
The position also involves supporting the Information Security Governance & Compliance team during risk assessments and audits.
The analyst will engage with peers on security operations functions and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in information security tooling and systems.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in technology or applicable experience is required.
Related certifications such as GSEC, CISSP, GIAC, or AWS are preferred.
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in information security operations across multiple roles.
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and O365 services is a must.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in security incident response and operations is required.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in defining and refining operational processes.
Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, WAF, SEIM, and SOAR technologies is necessary.
Experience managing Active Directory / MS Entra ID and familiarity with SOAR is required.
Proficiency in KQL and SPL or other Query Languages, as well as scripting languages like PowerShell and Python, is essential.
Knowledge of information security standards and regulatory requirements such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, SOC2, PCI, and SOX is required.
Candidates must possess strong prioritization, decision-making, critical thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
