Description:

The position is for an Information Security Engineer at Sporty, a leading sports betting website with millions of active users.
The role involves engineering, implementing, and monitoring security measures for the protection of computer systems, applications, and infrastructure, including WAF, DDoS, DNS, Networking, and VPN.
The candidate will work directly with project teams to build secure workflows, processes, systems, and services.
Responsibilities include developing best practices and security standards, understanding software and infrastructure needs, and creating technical solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
The engineer will conduct internal and external security tests/audits and assist team members with cybersecurity needs.
The technology stack includes Python, AWS services, various VPN technologies, monitoring tools, and web application security tools.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Security Engineer or in a relevant position is required.
Basic coding skills in HTML, CSS, Shell Script, Python, and other languages are necessary.
In-depth knowledge of database and operating system security is essential.
The candidate must be able to identify web-based security vulnerabilities, including SQLi, XSS, CSRF, and SSRF.
Knowledge of common authentication technologies such as OAuth, SAML, and OTP/TOTP is required.
Familiarity with browser-based security controls like CSP, HSTS, and XFO is important.
Experience with standard web application security tools, such as Arachni and BurpSuite, is needed.
Hands-on experience with security systems, network security, and monitoring tools is required.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISA/CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH, GSEC) and certifications like PMP or ISO 27001 LA are beneficial.
