Description:
Weights & Biases is seeking an Infrastructure Security Engineer to join their team remotely.
The role involves detecting vulnerabilities, responding to security incidents, and maintaining a strong security posture across systems.
Responsibilities include continuously monitoring alerts, logs, and network activity using security tools.
The engineer will analyze incidents, investigate breaches, and perform root cause analysis to mitigate risks.
Regular vulnerability assessments will be conducted, and collaboration with DevOps and infrastructure teams will be necessary to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities.
The engineer will proactively identify security risks and anomalies through threat hunting.
Leading or supporting forensic investigations and security incident reporting is part of the role.
The position requires deploying, configuring, and optimizing security tools to detect and prevent threats while minimizing false positives.
Support for DevSecOps initiatives by integrating security best practices into development pipelines is expected.
The engineer will ensure secure coding practices and infrastructure configurations.
Assistance with security audits and maintaining compliance with industry standards is required.
Documentation of security incidents, policies, and procedures for internal and external use is necessary.
The engineer will develop and conduct security training programs for employees on phishing, social engineering, and security best practices.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5-7 years of experience as a Security Engineer in a startup environment.
Expertise in securing Kubernetes environments across multiple cloud platforms is required.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python is necessary.
Experience with infrastructure tools like Terraform is essential.
A professional certification such as OSCP, OSWE, OSCE, or similar is required.
