Remote Integrations Engineer (Backend)

Description:

• The Integrations Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining integrations between clients' customer management systems and the internal system.
• This role involves working with API, email, and RPA integration types.
• Key tasks include sanitizing, serializing, validating, and efficiently transferring data into the core system.
• The engineer will work within a clean, siloed codebase on a dedicated server.
• Responsibilities include building new integrations and maintaining current ones on an isolated Node.js server.
• The engineer must ensure that code meets Applause’s high engineering standards and functions effectively with increased usage.
• The goal is to transfer data from clients' systems into the internal system while ensuring data quality during the process.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4-8 years of experience as a backend engineer.
• A minimum of 2-4 years of experience with Node.js as the primary environment is required.
• Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in building and maintaining integrations.
• An aptitude and willingness to quickly learn established conventions is necessary.
• Very high standards for code quality are expected.
• A passion for programming and a strong history of shipping numerous features within short timelines is essential.
• Candidates must be very effective in a remote work environment.
