Description:

TextNow is seeking an Intermediate Backend Software Developer to join the Core Experience Team.
The company aims to democratize phone service and transform the telecom landscape by building a platform that supports millions of calls and messages daily.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services for a high-traffic platform using technologies such as AWS, Golang, gRPC, Kubernetes, Terraform, and a microservice architecture.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining core backend services, ensuring high-quality code, participating in a rotating on-call schedule, organizing technical details for projects, and collaborating with other backend teams.

Requirements:

Candidates should have experience developing API services with gRPC or REST.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code tooling such as Terraform and Kubernetes is required.
Applicants must be able to apply design principles and methodologies for building scalable and high-performance backend architectures.
Experience with relational or non-relational database technologies like MariaDB, RDS, DynamoDB, or Redis is necessary.
Familiarity with CI build platforms like GitHub Actions or similar is also required.
Ideal candidates should be creators of innovative solutions, brilliant collaborators, decisive, and take ownership of projects.
A self-starter attitude with the ability to identify areas for improvement and provide realistic solutions is essential.
