Description:
The Intermediate Frontend Engineer will contribute to the mission of OfferZen by delivering impactful and quality software at a high cadence.
Responsibilities include designing, testing, and shipping great frontend code every week to build impactful new features for users.
The engineer will help design and architect frontend features with the delivery team and work closely with designers to refine concepts into shippable features.
Sharing knowledge with peers and upskilling engineers through code reviews, pair-programming, and internal frontend forums is expected.
The role involves working with a wide range of systems, stakeholders, processes, and technologies to own and solve problems from design to delivery.
The engineer will uphold and improve engineering standards and processes, debug production issues, and help ensure a stable application for the marketplace.
Documenting feature designs and architectural decisions to support new engineers is also part of the job.
The engineer will contribute to the technical and product roadmap.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in software development is required.
The candidate must be experienced in implementing UI designs and have experience working with Javascript and React (or an equivalent framework) in a production environment.
Experience managing and fetching data on the frontend, either through state management or caching solutions, is necessary.
Knowledge about UX and applying this in practice is essential.
The candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills that combine product design, process, and technical aspects.
Good architectural design ability, including understanding patterns, algorithm complexity, separation of concerns, and component-oriented design, is required.
Experience mentoring other developers and sharing learnings is expected.
The candidate should have experience with frontend testing and writing testable code.
Creating documentation for feature designs or architectural choices is necessary for helping new engineers contribute effectively.
Some experience working with any back-end framework in a production environment would be beneficial.
