Description:
The company Hiive is a fintech/marketplace startup connecting buyers and sellers of stock in venture-backed pre-IPO companies.
They are seeking an Intermediate Frontend Engineer to join the Growth product team.
The role involves working on initiatives focused on the overall growth of the business, contributing to the external website hiive.com, and developing features for the main platform.
Recent projects include rebuilding pricing graphs, adding dynamic content pages, and optimizing email notifications.
The candidate will collaborate with technical leaders, refactor codebase, create a user-friendly experience, and contribute to building a supportive engineering culture.
Requirements:
Capable of hands-on development of a mobile responsive user interface with React and Typescript.
Proficient in frontend development aspects like styling, performance, responsiveness, and creating reusable components.
Comfortable working in a small team environment and collaborating directly with founders.
Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced work environment.
3+ years of experience building interfaces with React.
Previous experience with Typescript, component libraries like Chakra UI, and working with authenticated backend APIs.
Skills in translating design mockups into implementation and working closely with product designers for UI/UX feedback.
Preferable experience includes working with GraphQL APIs, Apollo Client, and backend languages like Elixir.
