Description:

  • BlueDot is seeking an Intermediate Site Reliability Engineer to join their technology team and contribute to building technology solutions for their early warning system for infectious diseases.
  • The role involves collaborating with technology teams to deliver working software to Azure that ensures a seamless and reliable experience for customers.
  • Responsibilities include establishing and tracking Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs), creating automation for building, deploying, monitoring, and managing systems using Azure and other tools, and improving security, reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
  • The position also entails disaster recovery planning, automation, testing, diagnosing and troubleshooting problems, and influencing the design and implementation of secure and reliable systems.
  • The Intermediate Site Reliability Engineer will stay updated with the latest cloud computing, machine learning, AI, big data, and data science trends to support technology teams effectively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
  • 4+ years of Site Reliability Development experience.
  • Expert knowledge in configuring and managing modern cloud-based systems, particularly Microsoft Azure and Terraform, while being cost-effective.
  • Extensive experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment solutions (CI/CD), containerization techniques using Docker and Azure container registry.
  • Proficiency in active monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding skills using Grafana or similar tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, cybersecurity knowledge, and familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, ETL pipelines, and cloud native storage products.
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle, agile methodologies, and MLOPs pipeline configuration.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills are essential.
