Description:
Vidyard is looking for an Intermediate, Full-Stack Software Developer to join their Core Team, responsible for critical services like encoding, dashboard, chrome extension, mobile app, captions, and thumbnails.
The role involves shaping core features and functionality of Vidyard's video platform for customers.
The developer will collaborate with a cross-functional team of developers, designers, and product managers to address customer challenges and deliver exceptional software solutions.
This is a remote position open to candidates in Canada.
The Core Team consists of twelve developers, two product managers, and two designers divided into Engage, Scale, and Tech streams.
The Tech Stream focuses on ensuring the performance, quality, availability, and scalability of the application.
The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in software engineering, be comfortable working across the software stack, and have a history of success in agile environments.
Strong communication, collaboration skills, lean thinking, and a metrics-driven mindset are essential.
Nice to have experience with Mobile or Desktop app development.
The tech stack includes Git, RSpec, Jest, Vue.js, React.js, React Native, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and more.
Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years of experience shipping user-facing, scalable web products.
Ability to work across the software stack as a generalist with experience in front-end or back-end development.
Success delivering on initiatives in an agile, iterative environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desire to drive improvements in quality, reliability, and performance.
Lean thinking and an experimental, metrics-driven mindset.
High tolerance for ambiguity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Nice to have experience with Mobile or Desktop app development.
