Description:

  • Vidyard is looking for an Intermediate, Full-Stack Software Developer to join their Core Team, responsible for critical services like encoding, dashboard, chrome extension, mobile app, captions, and thumbnails.
  • The role involves shaping core features and functionality of Vidyard's video platform for customers.
  • The developer will collaborate with a cross-functional team of developers, designers, and product managers to address customer challenges and deliver exceptional software solutions.
  • This is a remote position open to candidates in Canada.
  • The Core Team consists of twelve developers, two product managers, and two designers divided into Engage, Scale, and Tech streams.
  • The Tech Stream focuses on ensuring the performance, quality, availability, and scalability of the application.
  • The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in software engineering, be comfortable working across the software stack, and have a history of success in agile environments.
  • Strong communication, collaboration skills, lean thinking, and a metrics-driven mindset are essential.
  • Nice to have experience with Mobile or Desktop app development.
  • The tech stack includes Git, RSpec, Jest, Vue.js, React.js, React Native, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and more.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience shipping user-facing, scalable web products.
  • Ability to work across the software stack as a generalist with experience in front-end or back-end development.
  • Success delivering on initiatives in an agile, iterative environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Desire to drive improvements in quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Lean thinking and an experimental, metrics-driven mindset.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Nice to have experience with Mobile or Desktop app development.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and mentor junior developers.
