Description:

  • Vidyard is seeking an Intermediate Software Developer to join the Data Platform team.
  • The role involves advancing the Company Data System, enhancing data pipelines, and optimizing tools.
  • Technologies used include Druid, Redshift, DBT, Cube, and Metabase, focusing on data collection, modeling, and activation.
  • The developer will collaborate with a team of developers, data architects, and a product manager, engaging with various stakeholder teams including R&D, Marketing, Finance, and RevOps.
  • Responsibilities include leading key projects, promoting the adoption of internally developed tools, ensuring high standards in code development and review, participating in incident management, and integrating cost-effectiveness and security into data practices.
  • This is a remote position available to candidates located in Canada.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in Data Engineering, with a deep understanding of Data Systems including collection, ingestion, storage, processing, visualization, and analysis.
  • Expertise in data modeling is required, with the ability to design and implement robust, scalable, and optimized data models.
  • The candidate should be decisive in ambiguous situations and comfortable making decisions that lead to actionable outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication skills are necessary to manage risks and discuss technical trade-offs effectively.
  • Collaboration across teams, particularly with R&D and RevOps, is essential to build a robust Company Data System.
  • A commitment to quality and a drive to uplift standards in quality, reliability, and performance is expected.
  • Candidates should have a lean and experimental approach, valuing iterative processes and experimentation.
  • Mentoring and guiding team members is a key aspect of the role.
