Description:

  • Vidyard is looking for a Full Stack Intermediate Software Developer to join the Nova Team, responsible for developing the AI Avatar feature and experimental functionalities.
  • The role involves enhancing AI video creation capabilities to allow users to create AI videos using just a text script.
  • You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to address customer challenges and deliver exceptional software solutions.
  • This is a remote position open to candidates in Canada.
  • The Nova Team focuses on improving and expanding Vidyard's AI Avatar feature and implementing experimental features.

Requirements:

  • Must have 3+ years of experience shipping user-facing, scalable web products.
  • Ability to work across the software stack as a generalist with experience in front-end or back-end development.
  • Successful track record of delivering initiatives in an agile, iterative environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on clarity, understanding, and navigating discussions around risks and tradeoffs.
  • Desire to enhance quality, reliability, and performance standards.
  • Lean thinking and an experimental, metrics-driven mindset.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and a proactive approach to discovery.
  • Willingness to share knowledge with other developers and mentor junior team members.
  • Familiarity with technologies like Git, RSpec, Jest, Vue.js, React.js, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and microservice architectures.
  • Experience with distributed computing, monitoring, logging, and AI/machine learning technologies is a plus.
