Description:

  • Jobber is seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer to join their Software Engineering team, focusing on backend technology.

  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, and delivering features that meet customer needs, writing and maintaining clean and scalable code, and participating in code reviews.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is required.
  • A structured understanding of common backend frameworks, technologies, and patterns is necessary.
  • Experience with observability tools such as DataDog is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset are essential.
  • A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow as part of a team is important.
  • It is beneficial to have experience with the development stack including React, React Native, TypeScript, and Ruby on Rails.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL API Layer and its optimization, as well as experience with scalable distributed systems and background processing frameworks, is a plus.
