Jobber is seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer to join their Software Engineering team.
The role involves developing marketing automation tools that help Service Providers grow their businesses through client engagement and lead conversion.
The Campaigns team focuses on creating an email marketing tool that sends millions of emails monthly, enabling customized, AI-generated campaign content and automated client communications.
The Intermediate Software Engineer will collaborate with a scrum team to build an industry-leading product that supports small businesses.
Responsibilities include writing secure and performant code, participating in code reviews, and engaging in the full life-cycle of features from ideation to delivery.
The position requires understanding customer workflows to improve features in Jobber's online and mobile apps.
The engineer will work closely with senior engineers to refine requirements and scope technical solutions, and will communicate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 2 years of software engineering experience.
Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code is required.
Experience with the entire software development lifecycle in the Agile/Scrum framework is necessary.
An inquisitive mindset and the ability to take initiative in problem-solving are essential.
It is preferred (but not mandatory) for candidates to have experience using Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, and React in a production environment.
Familiarity with GraphQL API Layer and its optimization is also a plus.
