Description:

  • As a Software Engineer at Traject Data, you will help shape the foundation of web applications and services across the stack.
  • Your responsibilities will include building clean, intuitive user experiences and designing scalable backend APIs.
  • You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and fellow Engineers, contributing to feature planning, system architecture, and hands-on implementation.
  • The ideal candidate is a well-rounded engineer comfortable working across both frontend and backend, with a curiosity for how things work and a passion for building great software.
  • Success in this role means being a team-oriented, curious engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment, writing clean, maintainable code, and taking ownership of features end-to-end.
  • You will support your teammates by sharing feedback, mentoring, and fostering a growth mindset.

Requirements:

  • You must have solid experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks like React.
  • Experience in building and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs is required.
  • A working knowledge of Node.js, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and server-side logic is necessary.
  • Familiarity with modern CSS methodologies and styling approaches (CSS-in-JS, PostCSS, Sass, etc.) is expected.
  • You should be comfortable working in a full-stack environment, even if you lean slightly towards frontend or backend.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD tools is essential.
  • A continuous learning mindset and openness to exploring new technologies are important.
  • Bonus points for experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP), containerization, or frontend performance optimization.
