Remote Intermediate Software Testing Engineer - Octopus (6 Months Contract)

Description:

• Octopus by RTG is seeking an Intermediate Software Testing Engineer for a 6-month contract in Cairo Governorate, Egypt.
• The role involves developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, QTP, or TestComplete.
• The engineer will ensure that test automation frameworks are scalable, maintainable, and integrated with CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins and GitLab.
• Responsibilities include running automated test suites, analyzing results, documenting test cases, scripts, and outcomes, and reporting and tracking defects for timely resolution.
• The position also requires designing, developing, and executing performance test plans using tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or Gatling, simulating load and stress conditions, and analyzing results to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Collaboration with development, QA, and operations teams is essential to identify automation and performance testing opportunities and optimize system performance.
• The engineer will perform code reviews, provide feedback, and continuously enhance test automation and performance testing practices and processes.
• Manual testing and maintaining comprehensive documentation of test cases, scripts, results, and performance metrics are also part of the job.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4 or more years of experience in both automation and manual testing.
