Remote Intern - Developer (Performance, Scalability)

Description:

• The internship is with Tecsys, a fast-growing innovator providing supply chain solutions to healthcare systems, hospitals, pharmacies, distributors, retailers, and 3PLs.
• The intern will work remotely for the Fall 2024 semester.
• The position is within the Performance & Scalability team, focusing on challenging projects in the healthcare sector.
• Responsibilities include backend development in Python, front-end UI development using React, JavaScript, and CSS, scale and performance testing, test plan development for SOAP, XML, and REST, Java code debugging, and applying analytical skills.
• The intern will be part of a Scrum team emphasizing continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Technologies used include Java, relational databases, Eclipse, Git, Maven, Junit, Selenium, REST services, Jenkins, and more.

Requirements:

• Completion of college studies in computer science or computer engineering.
• Good knowledge of Java, object-oriented programming, and relational database management systems.
• Experience with Java EE development.
• Logical approach, organized, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident of Canada, or have a valid Canadian work permit.
