Description:
The team consists of nearly 30 members, including Back, Front, iOS, Android, UX/UI, QA, and DevOps, who develop, test, and deploy features impacting hundreds of thousands of users in Europe.
The development team is responsible for four platforms: back, web, iOS, and Android, with developers organized into autonomous, multidisciplinary agile squads.
The company is seeking an iOS developer to join the app team, which includes both iOS and Android developers working collaboratively on feature design and development.
The iOS developer will work primarily with Swift and also utilize Kotlin MultiPlatform for shared components like network calls and tracking.
Responsibilities include organizing work in collaboration with the platform and squad, delivering the best possible experience to clients, and making pragmatic choices to support the product team.
The role requires technical expertise in Swift and the iOS platform, participation in the design and development of new features, and a commitment to code quality and best practices.
The developer will engage in collaboration through pair programming, code reviews, and co-constructing the roadmap with the product team.
After three months, the developer is expected to be familiar with the team and contribute to codebase improvements and new feature implementations.
After six months, the developer should master their functional and technical scope and actively participate in technical decisions.
After nine months, the developer should have a strong understanding of Cheerz's business concepts and be capable of onboarding new team members.
Requirements:
A background in computer science, engineering, or self-taught experience with at least 5 years in development, including 2 years in native mobile development.
A passion for learning and a desire to work collaboratively with both the product team and developers from other platforms.
Strong proficiency in Swift and the iOS framework, along with a sensitivity to product and design.
A rigorous approach to coding, with a focus on creating simple, elegant architectures tailored to needs.
The ability to take a step back and provide well-argued, pragmatic recommendations.
Candidates are encouraged to share open-source repositories or side projects.
Benefits:
The work rhythm consists of 8 weeks: 3 sprints of 2 weeks followed by 2 weeks of inter-sprint.
There is a weekly optional meeting for 1.5 hours dedicated to technical skill development, including video reviews and design workshops.
Developers are allocated 20% of their time for technical tasks each sprint.
The company offers 6 weeks of "platform days" at the end of the year for focused development.
Regular tech/product meetups are organized with renowned speakers, and all replays are available for viewing.
